TowAlign — Terms of Use & Disclaimer

Last updated: 3 September 2026

These Terms of Use and Disclaimer apply to the TowAlign mobile application, website and associated services (“TowAlign”).

By downloading, accessing or using TowAlign, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not use TowAlign.

1. Purpose of TowAlign

TowAlign is a measurement and informational tool designed to assist users with checking wheel alignment and related measurements on caravans and trailers.

TowAlign may provide features including wheel toe measurement, camber measurement, levelling, saved alignment checks, reports and other related tools.

TowAlign is intended to assist with inspection and measurement. It does not replace the specifications, procedures, equipment or professional judgement of a qualified mechanic, suspension specialist, wheel alignment technician, caravan repairer or trailer repairer.

2. Measurement Results

TowAlign uses sensors within your mobile device and, where applicable, compatible external sensors to calculate or assist with measurements.

Measurement results can be affected by factors including:

  • the accuracy and calibration of the device's sensors;
  • correct positioning of the phone against the wheel rim;
  • wheel and rim condition;
  • movement of the vehicle or device during measurement;
  • the surface on which the caravan or trailer is positioned;
  • user technique;
  • device model, case or accessories; and
  • other environmental or mechanical factors.

TowAlign does not guarantee that any measurement is completely accurate or suitable for a particular caravan, trailer, suspension system or application.

Where TowAlign requests repeat measurements, users should follow those instructions carefully.

3. Manufacturer Specifications

TowAlign does not determine the correct wheel alignment specification for your particular caravan, trailer, axle or suspension system.

Results produced by TowAlign should be compared with the specifications supplied by the relevant caravan, trailer, axle or suspension manufacturer.

Do not assume that a measurement is acceptable simply because it appears within a general range displayed or discussed by TowAlign.

If you are unsure about the correct specification, contact the vehicle, axle or suspension manufacturer or a suitably qualified professional.

4. Inspection and Mechanical Condition

A wheel alignment measurement alone cannot determine the complete mechanical condition or roadworthiness of a caravan or trailer.

Incorrect alignment readings or unusual tyre wear may be associated with other problems including worn or damaged suspension components, bearings, bushes, axles, wheels, tyres or chassis components.

TowAlign does not inspect these components and should not be relied upon to determine whether a caravan or trailer is safe or roadworthy.

5. Professional Inspection

If TowAlign indicates a possible alignment issue, measurements are inconsistent, abnormal tyre wear is present, components appear damaged, or you are otherwise unsure about the condition of the caravan or trailer, you should have it inspected by a suitably qualified professional.

Any mechanical adjustment, repair or modification should be performed by a person with appropriate knowledge, skills and equipment.

6. Safe Use

Always take appropriate safety precautions when working around a caravan or trailer.

Ensure the vehicle is securely parked and cannot move unexpectedly before taking measurements.

Never position yourself underneath or in a hazardous position around a vehicle unless it has been properly secured using equipment appropriate for the work being performed.

TowAlign should not be operated while driving or towing.

7. Reports and Saved Measurements

TowAlign may allow users to save measurements and generate or share alignment reports.

Reports represent the measurements and information recorded at the time the check was performed. A TowAlign report is not a roadworthy certificate, engineering certificate, mechanical inspection certificate or professional wheel alignment certification.

Users are responsible for confirming that information entered into a report is correct.

8. No Guarantee of Outcomes

Correct wheel alignment can be one factor affecting tyre wear, towing behaviour and vehicle performance. However, many other mechanical and operating factors can affect these outcomes.

TowAlign does not guarantee that using the app will prevent tyre wear, component failure, handling problems, accidents, property damage or other losses.

9. User Responsibility

You are responsible for:

  • following the measurement instructions provided by TowAlign;
  • using the same required phone position and measurement technique;
  • checking measurements where appropriate;
  • determining the manufacturer's required specifications;
  • deciding whether professional inspection or repair is required; and
  • ensuring your caravan or trailer is maintained and operated safely and legally.

You should not rely solely on TowAlign where professional inspection or specialised alignment equipment would reasonably be required.

10. Device Compatibility

TowAlign relies on hardware and software provided by the device manufacturer.

Sensor characteristics and performance can vary between devices.

We cannot guarantee that TowAlign will operate identically on every supported device or operating-system version.

11. Intellectual Property

TowAlign, including its name, branding, software, graphics, measurement processes, documentation and website content, is owned by or licensed to TowAlign and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

You may use TowAlign for personal or legitimate commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms, but you may not copy, reverse engineer, redistribute, resell or reproduce TowAlign or its proprietary content except where permitted by law.

12. Availability and Changes

We may update, modify, add or remove features from TowAlign from time to time.

We do not guarantee that TowAlign or every feature will always be available, uninterrupted or compatible with future devices or operating systems.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TowAlign and its owners, developers and operators are not liable for loss or damage arising from reliance on measurements or information provided by TowAlign, incorrect use of the application, mechanical failure, vehicle damage, tyre wear, towing incidents or decisions made using TowAlign results.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law, including rights that may apply under the Australian Consumer Law.

14. Third-Party Products and Services

TowAlign may interact with or refer to third-party products, manufacturers, websites or services.

References to third parties do not constitute an endorsement or guarantee of their products, specifications or services.

15. Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated from time to time to reflect changes to TowAlign, applicable laws or our business practices.

The current version will be published on the TowAlign website with the date of the latest update.
